Once again, the opportunity is here for youth Grade 6 and above to participate in a Confirmation Class in preparation for full church membership! Our classes will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm beginning September 14, 2011 and continuing until Confirmation Sunday, April 15, 2012. Our first class will be an orientation an we invite parents to join us for that evening.
Our next class is starting soon! His 13 week class is designed to teach the average person money skills and management, with a focus on budgeting and getting out of debt. The class will meet on Sundays starting September 18 at 7pm. No child care provided. There is an orientation on Sunday, September 11 at 7. Call Pastor Mike if you have questions!

Pitch Night will resume the first Sunday of each month beginning April 3rd. A potluck meal will begin at 5:30pm followed by pitch at the Autumnwood Community Building at 5633 North 26th Place. Bring a dish of your choice and come join in the fun. Contact the Bauers for info at 402-261-4051.
Are you thinking about spring cleaning? Hold onto your treasures for the church sale May 20-21! We will begin collecting items after Easter at the church office. The Misions team will price things accordingly. We will take most anything except adult clothing and computer hardware. All proceeds will go to our building fund.
If you have been attending Prairie View for a while and would like to know more about how to become a member, you’re invited to join us at 3 pm on Sunday February 13 at the church office. Please let Pastor Mike know you’re coming! We will receive new members the last two sundays of February.
Is your chili the best in the (North)west? Here is your chance to prove it.
Join us Sunday, February 13th from 5-7pm at the church office for some great food, fun, fellowship and a little friendly competition. Once all the chili’s have been sampled, our five “celebrity” judges will award the distinguished Golden Ladle to the winner!
If you would like to compete by bringing a pot of chili, please sign up on the board at the back of church. If chili is not your speciality we are also looking for individuals to bring cinnamon rolls and veggie trays, or just join us to enjoy samplings of all the great soups.

This fall, our church family will take part in a Daniel Fast. These 21 days of prayer & fasting will start on Monday, November 1 and end on Sunday November 21 (Sunday before Thanksgiving)
What can I eat on a Daniel Fast? Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and only water for a beverage. Nothing processed.
We will have several “practice fast” pot-lucks together. Save these dates for the practices: Sunday Septermber 19, 7pm at the Church office; October 7, time and location TBD.
Would you like to be more environment-friendly but you’re not sure how to go about doing it? Do you want to be earth-conscious without joining a cult? Join us every other Sunday from 8-9 pm beginning on September 12. We will be using the Green Living Handbook to discover practical ways of lowering our carbon footprint!
