St. Mark's United Methodist Church has been giving quality ministry to East Lincoln for over 50 years. They are the largest United Methodist Church in Nebraska. In the summer of 2006, they began a new ministry by planting a new church in Northwest Lincoln with Pastor Mike Benischek given the duties of growing this new congregation. St. Mark's is providing resources (secretarial, office, financial, etc.) including people to help get the new church going, but the direction and future of Northwest is up to us! When Northwest is strong enough to stand on it's own and financially viable, St. Mark's Northwest will cut these ties and become it's own freestanding community of faith.

It is the people that make the difference at Northwest. We truly hope to be the church in the Northwest where people remain the focus of our ministries and purpose. We invite you to join us in creating a church that puts into practice the following six signs of discipleship:
